Oyster Float

   Made of 4-inch PVC pipe; approx 2-feet wide by 8-feet long. A 4'x8' sheet of 1" marine wire screening is attached to the inside of the float to hold the oysters.

[Remove a 1-foot square section from each corner of the screening; fold the four sides up to form a basket 2'x6'x1'. Secure the corners with wire and suspend the basket from the inside of the float with plastic cable ties.]

   This float will hold 2-thousand oysters until they grow to approximately a 3-inch diameter, at which time they can be placed on one of the reconstructed oyster reefs around the Bay.
