Check back for the 1998 Summeer Schedule JOIN US!! We study the scientific, socio-economic and cultural aspects of the bay and its tributaries.Teachers of all grades and its tributaries. Teachers of all grades and disciplines are encouraged to apply. Cost is a MERE $150.00 which covers all food, lodging and materials. Also, funding is available for teachers in some school systems.

We offer local Spring and Fall field trips aboard our 42' research vessel BAYWATCHER. We lead 6-12 graders through interdisciplinary bay and tributary studies on the James, Elizabeth and Lynnhaven Rivers. Activities aboard the boat include water testing, benthic and plankton sampling, trawl net and hand line fishing, flora and fauna identification, navigation, role playing, and poetry. Cost is $6 per student.
