Striped Killifish
Fundulus majalis

This small, common schooling fish can be found in the marshes, tidal creeks, estuaries and lagoons from New Hampshire to Florida. Separate sexes can be identified by the stripe patterns. The smaller female has around 15 vertical, dark bars. The larger male has 2 or 3 prominent dark, horizontal bars.
