Suggested activities:    Have students use the scale [of miles] on themap of the Philippines to determine the distance between cities or provinces..    Provide students with maps of the Philippines and the United States. Using the five themes of geography (location, place, movement, region, relationship wihin places) have students compare life in the United States with life in the Philippines.
